Comments made by the staff at Ocean Enterprises to the judges of Business Solutions' Total Solution Provider award for innovative installation in retail:
Purchasing: The Purchase Order module is very easy to use. It has a wealth of information; for example it has the ability to find all purchase orders for a specific item. This feature alone has increased my efficiency more than 20%. Prior to Express Software I would search through all the P.O.'s to find when an item was previously purchased, now all I do is click on the item in the P.O. file, select item tab and viola. That's only one of many time-saving features.
Inventory Module: Has a wealth of information. I can input/change part #'s in minutes rather than in hours, saving more time for other projects.
Inventory Reports: Because every transaction is date related, closing the month and running reports has been God sent. This software is so user friendly.
Credit Cards: Having the ability to swipe and process a credit card transaction on the terminal a sale clerk is working at now has made a huge problem we had completely go away.
Security: This has eliminated the theft issue Ocean Enterprises was experiencing with employees using another employee's login information to do illegal transactions.
Training: This system is so user friendly it has been so easy to train new people. As soon as the person goes on the register after watching the video (AJV provides a training video with the purchase of Express Software) they are up and running.
Commission Report: This has saved so much time in figuring commission for each employee. Now that I have indicated which items do not receive commissions my reports are ready to go to payroll right away.
Special Orders: Employees like it that when processing a customer and they decide that they want to order an additional item(s) and the clerk checks and finds we are out of stock, now they can place the special order right then-they do not have to come out and place special order separately.
Miscellaneous: Having a date related Special Order sure helps in ordering. Having Real Time for our transactions in the system has really been great. This has saved me an hour each day in updating the prior day's transactions.
THE BEST THING IS THE COOPERATION AND SUPPORT WE HAVE RECEIVED FROM EVERYONE IN AJV ORGANIZATION, ESPECIALLY ALLAN, IN MAKING CHANGES AND SOLVING PROBLEMS.
